Only agree to meet in public locations if you feel happy to do so (cafes, shops, transport hubs). Avoid isolated or residential areas.
2. Be Privacy Conscious
Never share or request personal home or work addresses to meet.
3. Verification
If possible, the Finder should ask to see the iFoundIt loss report sent to the Item Owner before handing back the item to them.
4. Friends & Family
Tell someone about the meetup details, and if you feel you need to, have someone accompany you.
5. Time Restrictions
We advise meeting during office hours (9 AM - 5 PM).
6. Emergency Contacts
If at any point during the meetup you feel unsafe, dial 111. In extreme circumstances, dial 999.
7. Clear Instructions
Include step-by-step instructions on how the meetup should occur. Specify exact location, dates, times, clearly in your messages.
